【摘要】:Thisspecificationdescribesrequirementsandtestmethodsforthequalificationofplasticbodiedmechanicalfittingsforusewithoutsidediametercontrolledpolyethylene(PE)gasdistributionpipe,nominal2pipesize(IPS)andsmallercomplyingwithSpecificationD2513.Inaddition,itspecifiesgeneralrequirementsofthematerialfromwhichthesefittingsaremade.Thetestmethodsdescribedinthisspecificationarenotintendedtobeusedasroutinequalitycontroltests.Thisspecificationcoversthetypesofmechanicalfittingsdescribedin.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section7,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotes,whichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.
