【摘要】:Fabricsintendedforthisend-useshouldmeetalltherequirementslistedinTable1.Itshouldberecognizedthatfabriccanbeproducedutilizinganalmostinfinitenumberofcombinationsofconstructionvariables(e.g.,typeoffibers,percentageoffibers,yarntwist,yarnnumber,warpandpickcount,chemicalandmechanicalfinished).Additionally,fashionandaestheticsdictatethattheultimateconsumermayfindacceptablearticlesmadefromfabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Hence,nosingleperformancespecificationcanpossiblyapplytoallthevariousfabricsthatcouldbeutilizedforthisend-use.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofthespecifiedmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoversperformancerequirementsforvinyl-coatedandurethane-coatedupholsteryfabricsproducedwithwoven,knit,ornonwovensubstrateswhichareusedinthemanufactureofnewindoorfurniture.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletofabricsusedinporch,deck,orlawnfurniture;norforplainknitfabricsandplain,tufted,orflocked,wovenupholsteryfabrics.1.3Theserequirementsapplytothelengthandwidthdirectionsforthosepropertieswherefabricdirectionispertinent.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
